this is a great knife but it is heavy compared to my victorinox 10" knife almost 3 ounces heavier and it does cause wrist fatigue after several hours of daily use. the knife is very comfortable in my hand with a great edge i only have to sharpen it every 3 days but for heavy prep work I would buy a lighter knife

This knife is perfect for chopping, slicing and dicing smaller vegetables that don't require the larger chefs knife. It does a super job on carrots, cucumbers, shallots, smaller onions etc. It is extremely sharp and balanced beautifully. If the task does not require my 9" Knife I always go to this one. Very satisfied and would not hesitate to recommend it highly. Typical Wusthof quality.
